OPERATION SIDRA
2026 Child Medical Mission

Physicians evaluated Sidra’s X-rays and identified the source of her chronic pain: severe deformities and misalignment in her ribs.
Veterans Rebuilding Life responded to requests for assistance for a young girl who urgently needs medical care. Sidra, a teenager from an impoverished family living in war-torn Iraq, has endured years of severe scoliosis and chronic pain. Although she previously underwent corrective spinal surgery, a recent medical evaluation revealed serious deformities and misalignment in her ribs.
Physicians determined that she requires an additional surgical procedure to reshape and realign her ribcage. For Sidra’s family, who struggle daily to meet basic needs, the cost of treatment was far beyond reach. In response, Veterans Rebuilding Life partnered with Without Borders to raise the $4,000 needed to fund Sidra’s life changing surgery.
This collaborative effort reflects our shared commitment to providing humanitarian support and critical medical assistance to children injured by conflict and poverty. Through partnerships like these, we continue working to restore hope, dignity, and opportunity for children and families facing extraordinary challenges. We thank all of our supporters and partners who make missions like this possible.
