On May 25th 2019, the New York State Senate formally recognized Memorial Day by honoring decorated veterans from across the state, at a ceremony held in the Empire State Plaza, located in the Albany, New York. Veterans Rebuilding Life was honored to be among this years inductees into the State Capitol’s:  Veterans Hall of Fame.

Each year, the State Senate recognizes remarkable veterans who’ve distinguished themselves in both military and civilian life. Veteran candidates are nominated by the State’s acting Senators, who select veterans based on their public record of service to their nation, and extensive contributions made to their local communities. The ceremonial event was opened by acting President and Majority leader; Senator Andrea Stewart-Cousins, who opened with the following statement:
