The Collision Training Institute (CTI) is a service-disabled, veteran-owned small business based in Queens, New York. The accredited institute provides essential training and employment services for professional careers within the automotive industry. Since 2019, CTI has served as the official sponsor of VRL’s training and workforce development programs for veterans.
The Dept. of Veterans’ Services helps veterans to secure employment, education, and healthcare benefits nationwide. Since 2024, the New York State Dept. of Veterans Services has trained VRL staff to become certified Veterans Service Officers, strengthening our capacity to support veterans and their families.

The Cigna Group Foundation supports registered nonprofit organizations by expanding access to humanitarian programs for people in need and strengthening their impact through donation-matching initiatives. Open Door Exchange (ODE) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that helps low-income families transition out of homelessness and into stable housing. By donating furniture and essential household items, ODE reduces the financial burden of starting over. Since 2020, Veterans Rebuilding Life has partnered with ODE supporting projects that help homeless veterans and military families.

Haya Washington (HW) is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization established in Washington, D.C. In 2026, HW collaborated with Veterans Rebuilding Life to deliver food, clean drinking water, emergency medical care to hundreds of orphaned children living in displacement camps across southern Gaza.

Honorees are nominated by the public and must meet the committee’s requirement of going above and beyond to make a difference in their community.
