Temple Emmanu-El sponsors Veterans Rebuilding Life

Temple Emanu-El has been serving the New York City community for over 170 years. One of their most inspiring initiatives is the Youth Philanthropy Council, which empowers teens to make a positive impact on their community through charitable giving. Throughout the year, members learn about the humanitarian missions of different nonprofits, and engage in lively discussions to identify organizations that align with their values.
Veterans Rebuilding Life was honored to be selected by the council as the 2023 nonprofit winner of Temple Emmanuel’s generous contribution of $10,000 donated in-support of Project 360º VRL’s full-scope veterans program. Recognizing initiatives like the Youth Philanthropy Council is vital in the fight against prejudice. It proves that people from all backgrounds are capable of creating a more inclusive and compassionate community. By instilling social responsibility and community service in young adults, Temple Emanu-El is helping to create a better community and world, one teen at a time.
